The mission of the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Gaziosmanpaşa University, is as follows:

Education

i. To cultivate competitive, well-educated, and high-quality individuals who can contribute to the ever-changing, technology-centric world of the 21st century, with the educational facilities and faculty of the Department of Chemistry equipped with the necessary knowledge, experience, and infrastructure.

ii. To cultivate chemists who possess a broad knowledge of chemistry and can apply this knowledge to daily life, who are capable of critical thinking and problem-solving.

iii. To contribute to the education, training, and intellectual development of undergraduate students and to provide advisory services.

iv. To cultivate professional and specialized graduates and academics through Master's and Doctoral programs.

Research

i. To conduct scientific research at an international level, guided by scientific and ethical principles.

ii. To guide undergraduate and graduate students in research.

iii. By providing students with educational and research opportunities across chemistry and other fields,

To teach the value of interdisciplinary thinking.

iv. To encourage students through national and international experiences in chemistry.

Service

i. To contribute to the economic, intellectual, cultural, industrial, and technological development of our region and our country through the discovery and development of scientific knowledge.

ii. To contribute to the recognition of Gaziosmanpaşa University and its ability to compete with global universities.


Vision of the Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University


Our vision is to fully prepare our students for real-world experiences and professional life.


Scientific Vision

i. In the five fundamental disciplines of chemistry: Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry.

ii. In other fundamental branches of chemistry related to chemistry: Biology, Physics, and Mathematics.

iii. To cultivate skilled and competent undergraduate and graduate graduates in additional areas of chemistry.
